Full Steam Ahead: A Benefit for North Carolina Rail-Trails

MARY JOHNSON ROCKERS…is her name, not a clever band title. But with the Spark behind her, she delivers “great, roving Americana with pipes to spare,” (The Pinhook, Durham, NC). Ranging from soft twang with impeccable harmonies to driving rock rhythms full of late-night swagger, Mary’s music draws in fans of indie, folk and country alike.

A trio of very talented performance artists from Elon University will begin the evening by taking us on a brief trip through NC's varied railroading history through song and dance.  Then Mary Johnson Rockers and the Spark will light up the stage with their original songs.
