The ArtsCenter Honors 2012 - Celebrating our Past and Envisioning our Future

The time is rapidly approaching for the second annual “The ArtsCenter Honors”. On Saturday October 13th, The ArtsCenter will host a gala event recognizing many of the local artists, entrepreneurs, key donors, and visionaries pivotal to The ArtsCenter’s 1984 to 1994 period of growth and expansion. We will be honoring individuals who have affected The ArtsCenter’s second decade of programming and the purchase of our building at 300 East Main Street, while celebrating our current health and bright future. We are especially  thrilled to be holding this year’s “The ArtsCenter Honors” at The William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education at UNC especially as we honor Bill and Ida Friday for their vital and steadfast support.
Tickets are priced at $45 for Friends and $70 for General Public.

The evening will include a live performance by Grammy-award winning artist Janis Ian, who has a deep history of performing at The ArtsCenter. Our Keynote Speaker is scheduled to be Carrboro Mayor, Mark Chilton. 

Giorgios Hospitality Group, whose exceptional restaurants in Chapel Hill and Durham include City Kitchen, Bin 54, Parizade, and Vin Rouge, will be catering the food for this remarkable evening. Beer and wine are also included in the price of admission.

As the ArtsCenter reaches middle-age, we reminisce on all of the hard-working individuals and organizations that helped us through thick and thin to reach where we are today and share our vision for our many tomorrows. We encourage business casual/cocktail attire for this special evening.
