A Classroom, A Community: The ArtsCenter’s Instructor / Student Show in the Nicholson Gallery

A Classroom, A Community

The ArtsCenter’s Instructor / Student Show

Opening Reception: Friday, September 21st
From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Exhibition on display in the Nicholson Gallery from September 1st – 30th.

When people take ArtSchool classes at The ArtsCenter, they expect to learn techniques to express themselves through the creative arts. When artists teach at The ArtsCenter, they expect to share their knowledge and love of art with others. When these instructors and students meet in the classroom, what occurs is magical and intangible. Instructors and students find community as the classroom becomes a place where teachers and students challenge perception, inspire creativity, and encourage growth in one another. A Classroom, A Community showcases the work of our ArtSchool instructors as well as giving them the chance to curate a selection of work by their students. This exhibit highlights the transfer of knowledge and technique, and the diversity of aesthetics and styles that every artist has to offer.
