“Creative Healing is the incredible collaboration between OCRCC and the Arts Center, which opens the door to a shared understanding that healing ourselves after difficult experiences requires personal bravery and most importantly, community support. This collaboration reminds those who need to hear it most, that they have support from this community. A reminder that there is a space for everyone’s unique healing process, in all its colors, movements, and forms.” — Sabrina Calle-Bunyi, Director of Clinical and Wellness Services, Orange County Rape Crisis Center
We will kick off Creative Healing with a workshop inspired by The Clothesline Project, a visual display of t-shirts created by survivors of violence, or in honor of someone who has experienced violence. Participants are invited to create t-shirts adorned with empowering slogans and images with the help of an ArtSchool instructor. The Clothesline Project workshop will take place from 2pm-4pm on Sunday, March 22nd at The ArtsCenter. The workshop is free (with registration) and open to the public. Space is limited, so please register in advance.
