Have you ever wanted to learn how actors become your favorite characters? Now you can! Join us for an exciting acting class that focuses on scene study and character development!
This course will build an actor’s foundation of acting techniques through the exploration of theater games, improvisations, and scene study! Learn how to properly prepare for a role by making specific choices through character and scene analysis, and text work. Work in collaboration with a partner to develop and experience that role while behaving truthfully on the stage, and in front of the camera!
Actors will be given a scripted scene to work on with a partner. This scene will continue to develop weekly and will enable each actor to apply the techniques learned in class. During the weekly process and development, there will be a strong focus on preparation, instinct, and finding honesty in all the actor’s work. All weekly activities will lead to a fun final day of scene sharing!
