Age Range: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
We will explore the fun textures and patterns of some of our favorite animals and learn how to draw them step by step. We will use these drawings to create artwork and stories that we will get to share with our classmates. Together we will learn about where animals live, and how they take care of their homes.
Monday: Underwater animals (Turtles, Sharks, Dolphins). Sea creatures VS Pond/ fish bowl. What would we put in the fish bowl? A lot of space VS a little space. How can we help our oceans?
Tuesday: Step by steps based on their favorite creatures.
Wednesday: Continued step by steps, backgrounds. What else lives in the ocean? Seaweed, coral, etc.
Thursday: Creating our own sea monsters/Mystical creatures. Share.
Materials: pencils, pen, markers, colored pencils, erasers, crayons.
This class is conducted online! A computer with audio, video, and internet functionality is required. Student gives permission for The ArtsCenter and for instructor to use their image and comments in class recordings for promotional non-commercial purposes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for online classes.
