Collura – Wed, Oct 21 (5pm-6pm); Thurs, Oct 22 (5pm-6pm); Sat Oct 24 (10am-12pm)
Students will learn basic drawing techniques as they create observational drawings. Students will build on their ability to identify contour lines of an object then add value to create a realistic drawing using shading techniques including highlights and shadows. As the class progresses, each learner will be able to determine if they are ready to learn perspective techniques to draw a composition based on objects and images they observe around them.

About the instructor: Linda Collura is an artist and an art educator. She currently has a studio in Pittsboro, NC, where she creates mixed media paintings and teaches art in a public school. She has been painting and drawing all of her life and finds inspiration from nature, often creating whimsical paintings using the media that translates during the process of creating an individual artwork.
