Soldering, a technique used for thousands of years, employs heat and solder to join pieces of metal together. It is the most commonly used technique for joining metal. In this class, students will learn torch use and safety and some basic soldering skills such as sweat solder joins, butt solder joins, and the use of sheet and wire solder. Students will make stacking silver rings.

Pre-Requisite: The First Step – Basic Techniques
Attendance at the first class is mandatory.
Students will be expected to follow along with the class projects.
A studio fee of $7 plus an additional fee for the materials between $3 to $15 (based upon current market prices of metals) is due to the instructor at the first class.
