Otterness – Saturday, Oct 17th, 1pm-4pm

This class will focus on using handbuilding techniques to create several different Christmas ornaments. We will discuss using texture, slip, underglaze, and glaze to decorate and brighten our baubles. I will demonstrate how to make several different basic ornaments. Students are encouraged to research ornaments they may wish to emulate and we can discuss how to make them if they haven’t been covered in the first demonstrations. Students are welcome to simply watch the class or make work as their workspace allows while the session is live.

The class will be a 3 hour long class held online through Zoom. There will be time for questions throughout the class and at the end.

Enrolled students will be given directions for clay pickup, completed work drop off for firing, glazing, and final work pick up after firing that follow current health guidelines.
