This class will take a close look at how to write a short story with vivid characters, a compelling plot, and realistic dialogue. In this class, you will practice the art of deep reading to understand better what tools writers use to successfully execute the short story form and do writing exercises to practice using those tools yourself. You will also have the opportunity to share work in a supportive environment and learn how to offer constructive feedback to help others improve their work as well as hone your eye for examining your own. This class is ideal for those who have some experience reading and writing short stories and are looking for a more detailed and structured understanding of the form.
