Drawing and Painting Plants with Maggie Heraty (Online June 2020) – Recommended for grades 3-8

In this class, students will learn both basic drawing and watercolor techniques to create their own botanical illustrations. Lessons will span from doodling to realism and everything in-between! Students will finish the class with a beautiful collection of drawings and paintings to enjoy.
Recommended for grades 3-8

Heraty – Mon, Wed, & Fri, June 1st – June 26th, 4:30-5:15pm (Youth Online)
-Paintbrushes – A couple of round brushes and a medium square brush
-Watercolor paints and a jar of water
-Waterproof pens (like a sharpie)
-Mixed media or Watercolor paper (at least 98lb. thickness)
-Pencil & Eraser
-Blue painters tape (or making tape if you don’t have painters tape)
-Optional: white gel pen
This class is conducted online! A computer with audio, video, and internet functionality is required. Student and/or parent gives permission for The ArtsCenter and for instructor to use their image and comments in class recordings for promotional non-commercial purposes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for online classes.
