Tuesdays, Sep 6- Oct 11, 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm (In-person)

This course will encourage an artistic exploration of forms and patterns found in nature. Consider it an introduction to botanical illustration, but without a limitation to plants or an expectation of precision. What art might come from drawing inspiration from the colors of an autumn leaf, the gilled folds of a mushroom, or the texture of tree bark? This class will use a range of media (pencil, charcoal, watercolor, and more) to explore value, color, and composition using nature as our muse. This six-week course is for those wishing to make some intentional time to commune with the wonder, beauty, and absurdity of nature while also reconnecting with creative play.

Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.

All ArtSchool registrations have a $3 processing fee added upon check-out.

ArtsCenter members receive 15% off of the cost of this course!

All Artschool classes are 15 years old and up unless otherwise specified.
