Renzo Ortega – Tuesdays, Jul 26 – Aug 30, 6:30pm-9:00pm (In-person)

This class is about drawing objects from life, focusing on observation. We will study basic drawing concepts, such as line management, structure, tonal value, and textures. We will start from simple studies to more complex compositions. This class, given in person, is for all levels, and no prior drawing skills are required, but the development of a personal style will be encouraged. For technical accuracy, we will use graphite pencils only, and at the end, we will carry out a final project using colored pencils or another technique such as oil pastels or wax crayons. This class is for beginners, drawing enthusiasts, and advanced artists interested to learn different methodologies.

Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.

All ArtSchool registrations have a $3 processing fee added upon check-out.

ArtsCenter members receive 15% off of the cost of this course!

All Artschool classes are 15 years old and up unless otherwise specified.
