Green – Thursdays, Feb 24 – Mar 24, 5:30-7:30pm (In-Person)

Fiction writing is a wild ride through the imagination, and this class will introduce you to its primary elements, including character, plot, point of view, setting, and dialogue. Through writing exercises, readings, and discussion, you will learn the art of the messy first draft and how to create vivid characters and a plot that moves the story along. By the end of the course, you’ll understand the mechanics of fiction and have the confidence and energy to write on your own.
No writing experience required. Bring a pen and a notebook (or a laptop if writing by hand is a challenge).

In-person classes offered during the pandemic are conducted at a low maximum capacity and with social distancing measures in place. Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.

All ArtSchool registrations have a $3 processing fee added upon check-out.

All ArtSchool classes are 15 years old and up unless otherwise specified.
