In this one-day workshop, students will learn several techniques used to create impressionistic paintings in acrylic. Impressionism is a style of painting that involves capturing the feeling of a scene instead of the details. We will work on abstracting the details of the scene, using broken color, and capturing the light in a scene. Students may bring a reference photo to class, or the instructor will provide several for you to choose from. Students may paint with either brushes or palette knives, or a combination of the two.
