This course takes a closer look at the unique qualities of watercolor, and expands on the basics. We will cover color theory, intermediate washes and glazes, all while deepening our expertise with wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, and dry-brush painting. Each class begins with a brief introduction rooting the topic of the day into the greater context of art history, and to help inspire and understand watercolor’s place in the larger art world. The goal of this class is to help you develop your own personal style, and allow you to feel confident attempting more complex compositions.
