Ortega – Thursdays, Feb 3 – Mar 10, 6-8:30pm (In-Person)
This course offers an introduction to the craftmanship of oil painting and trains participants to develop observation, color mixing, and painting skills. During the course of the six-session workshop, we will do an introductory painting exercise and three still-life studies. Each painting will be focused on the study of color, physicality, shapes, paint application, and the representation of specific objects and textures, such as glass, fabrics, flowers, etc. This class is for beginners, painting enthusiasts, and advanced artists interested to learn different methodologies.
In-person classes offered during the pandemic are conducted at a low maximum capacity and with social distancing measures in place. Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to show instructors a proof of vaccination before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for in-person classes offered during the pandemic.
