Class Details

This ceramic course will cover the basics of hand building techniques: from pinch pots to coiling to slab construction. Students will learn how to alter surfaces with applied texture and carving methods. Glazes and oxide washes will be used to apply color and finish to the final pieces. While the course will go over figurative and abstract sculptural approaches, students will be encouraged to experiment with both sculptural and functional forms to create unique works of art. If you want to have some fun experimenting with clay, this is the class for you!

All ArtSchool Classes are for 15 and up unless otherwise specified.

ArtSchool Class Enrollment Policy

This class has a minimum enrollment of 5 students. Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment within 3 days of their start will be cancelled, and any purchased tuition will be fully refunded.
