Live Event Photography
This is a rare opportunity to learn live event photography from visiting artist and professional photographer, Tod Seelie. The course will take part in three sessions over the course of one insightful week. On Sunday, 11/10, Tod will discuss tools, techniques, and how best to anticipate the complexities of live event photography. Students will attend and shoot a live performance at the Cat’s Cradle venue the following week. On Sunday, 11/17, students will reconvene to talk about their experiences, review their work, and discuss helpful hints on how to navigate the field of photography particular to their interests. All experience levels are welcome!
$70 enrollment fee includes a press pass to one show at the Cat’s Cradle during the week of Sunday, November 10 through Saturday, November 16. A digital camera (rather than a smartphone) is required. A DSLR with a detachable lens is preferred. Detachable flash encouraged, but flash photography may not be allowed at select Cat’s Cradle events.
