On Saturday, July 11th, at 7pm, composer and musician Tim Carless presents an original live score to Buster Keaton’s silent film Sherlock Jr. This performance is free and is appropriate for children and adults. Runtime is 46 minutes.
Keaton’s Sherlock Jr. from 1924 was selected for preservation by the Library of Congress in 1991, for being “culturally, historically and aesthetically significant.” It continues to inspire film-makers today, containing the first “film within a film” sequence committed to celluloid.
Tim has previously performed original scores to Sherlock Jr. live at The ArtsCenter. Tim will be streaming live from his studio in Carrboro and the performance can be watched on The ArtsCenter’s YouTube Live!
We hope you will join us for another outstanding free live-streamed event!
