BRONZclay and PMC or silver metal clay consist of bronze or silver combined with an organic binder into a material that works like much like ceramic clay.  When fired in a kiln, the binder burns out leaving a finished piece of beautiful bronze or silver.  Learn the basic techniques of working with this material using simple tools, stamps and molds. The class will also learn the techniques of setting stones which can be fired in place. Students will first explore bronze metal clay, making sculptural jewelry pieces, beginning with a pendant or earrings. Silver metal clay will be demonstrated and available for purchase if time allows. Metal clay tool kits are provided for use during class. Students will be expected to follow along with the class projects.
