Jill Moffett – Saturdays, Apr 9- May 28, 2:00pm-4:00pm (In-Person)
Alter found images the old-fashioned way: with paper, scissors, and pens. We will learn how to modify vintage photographs, using Micron pens, chalk markers, and a needle and thread. We will de-and re-contextualize images by adding or subtracting with scissors and glue. Finally, we will work on packing tape and acrylic gel medium image transfers. In the second half of the class, we will combine and develop these three techniques. Students will create a unique piece of art using family photographs. Most materials provided, students can bring their own images or use images provided by the instructor.
Art experience welcome but not necessary.
