Keul – Saturdays, May 15 – June 19, 9am-12pm (Online)

A painting course in which students will develop their own paintings alongside the instructor (virtually), working from direct observation. A variety of motifs will be explored, including still life and landscape.

Students will also be given a slideshow at the beginning of each class of examples of artists’ work, from historical and contemporary sources, which thematic ties to the subject being painted that day. The instructor will demonstrate in oil paints primarily but students are welcome to use any media they choose, including watercolors, guache, charcoal/graphite, acrylics, tempera, pastels, or oil paints.
