The Sewing Circle Series at the Artscenter begins in January and goes into March meeting once a month as an individual workshop.  Each offering buildings onto the next for ways to bring mindful awareness and creative intuition practices into your life with thread.  Along the journey learn about wild color from natural dyes, contemporary embroidery, Chiku-Chiku, matters of mending, Zakka and Zokin, making do, Boro, Shasiko, Kakishibu, vintage notions, slow stitch, using traditional and nontraditional fabrics and paper for thread mark making.

Contemporary Embroidery w/ Catherine Cross Tsintzos – $56 – Sunday, 1-5pm, March 24

Supply Fee:  $20.00 cash paid to the instructor for all materials used.  Fabrics and threads that you use to create are to keep.  Tools and dye materials are shared for the afternoon.
