Jessica Abrams – Thursday, Jul 7-Aug 11, 6:30pm-8:30pm (In-Person)
Have you been told you were funny by everyone from your friends to your dentist? Have you always harbored a secret desire to get on stage and make people laugh? Do you just need some help feeling at ease speaking in front of people? This is the class for you!
In a safe space that lets you feel comfortable connecting with your inner comedian, we’ll explore the stories you want to tell and how to make them, well, funny. We’ll explore different joke styles, but mostly we’ll give you the confidence to find your voice and build a 5-minute comedy set that may even culminate in performance.
JESSICA ABRAMS is a standup comic, writer and actress. You can see her as Bruce Willis’ wife in the movie SURVIVE THE NIGHT, currently streaming on Amazon Prime. She’s been performing standup comedy all over the country for 7 years. She’s even performed in Paris! For the last 3 years, she’s taught standup comedy in Los Angeles. She’s currently performing her one-woman show, IF I LOOK THIS GOOD, WHY DO I FEEL LIKE SH*T? at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She loves nothing more than helping people connect to their stories – and finding the funny in them.
