Eastman – Sunday, Jul 18, 10am – 1pm (In-person)

 

Want to learn to add unique designs to your ceramic work? This one day workshop will cover techniques such as sgraffito, mishima, decals, slip transfer, and more! Following instruction, there will be time to try out these different techniques, so bring your leather-hard greenware and design ideas.

 

About the Instructor:

Angela Eastman is an artist and designer residing in Hillsborough, North Carolina. She holds an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and completed the Core Fellowship program at Penland School of Crafts. Her sculptural works explore the relationships between adaptability, consumption, and a sense of home. Angela teaches workshops to adults and youth in a wide variety of media, including basketweaving, ceramics, textiles, paper crafts, and metalworking.

Tuition includes the cost of a bag of clay, glaze materials, and firing fees. Students should come to the back of The ArtsCenter building to access the ceramics studio entrance and patio. In-person classes offered during the pandemic are conducted at a low maximum capacity and with social distancing measures in place. Masks must be worn at all times. Students are required to sign a liability waiver before attending in-person classes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for online or in-person classes offered during the pandemic.

All ArtSchool registrations have a $3 processing fee added upon check-out.
