The Painting Project is an advanced seminar designed for artists interested in developing a series of artworks focused on a specific theme or visual language. During the workshop, essential pieces of the history of painting will be analyzed and discussed. Each participant will develop an art project from research, planning, and completion of the work. Comments and criticism of participants’ pieces will be crucial in the methodology of this seminar, which goal is to propose and enhance the values of the painting practice, as a means of expression but as a crucial agent in the process of cultural development of our region.
Class is for adults (no exceptions). Previous painting and art experience are required. Participants must submit a portfolio of 5 previous artwork images before the first session.
Due to the spread of the Delta Variant starting October 1, 2021, The ArtsCenter will be requiring proof of vaccination and masks (as per state-mandate) for anyone who attends our ArtSchool classes and in-person performances. This was not an easy decision to make however as a leading community organization, The ArtsCenter has a responsibility to the whole community and feel this mandate is the most sensible safety measure.
Thank you
