Class room: Ceramics

Class description: Intended for students who have taken a pottery class, or made pottery, in the last year. In this class we will seek to further explore wheelthrowing and related skills. Topics will include: getting more height out of three pulls; throwing off the hump; altering freshly thrown and leather hard pots; vases, bottles, & flasks; lidded pieces; teapots; and creating surface treatment by layering slip and glaze decoration, including Jason’s top secret image transfer technique.
Tuition includes a bag of clay, plus glazing and firing fees.

Materials needed: a basic 8 piece pottery tool kit (also clay supplied by the studio)

Materials provided by: Students will be responsible for collecting and bringing their own materials to class

Age Range for this Class

All ArtSchool Classes are for 15 and up unless otherwise specified.

ArtSchool Class Enrollment Policy

Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment within 3 business days of their start will be cancelled, and any purchased tuition will be fully refunded.

Exchange and Cancellation Policy

You may request a full refund up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. You may request a transfer of your enrollment up to 5 business days prior to the start date of your course. We do not process requested refunds or transfers within 5 business days of the start of a class, nor after the class has begun.
