Motion: What’s the Story?
Motion can tell a story. Implementing the elements of motion we will investigate and design choreography. Using notation of our creation we will capture that story in motion. Don’t expect to sit still in this online class! Students will expand their drama skills and vocabulary while having fun together.

About the Instructor:
Maria has taught for 20 years. She is a member of NAEA, NDS and holds a degree in Theatre Arts. She has designed/ facilitated workshops and residencies with pre-k to senior adults . She has directed, and designed performances for local and national reps and non-profits. She also enjoys a career as a museum docent which has won her national recognition. She accesses various workshops, panels and webcasts to update for professional development. She frequents Lincoln Center Institute/Activate, The Bank Street School and NCMA Learn.
This class is conducted online! A computer with audio, video, and internet functionality is required. Students will receive Zoom login information the day before the class starts. Student gives permission for The ArtsCenter and for instructor to use their image and comments in class recordings for promotional non-commercial purposes. Refunds and exchanges are not offered for online classes.
All ArtSchool registrations have a $3 processing fee added upon check-out.
