Presented by award-winning choreographer Killian Manning, When the Stars Lose their Light is a dynamic dance performance that explores ways in which we cope with loss, upheaval, and the unforeseen. Combining movement, music, text, and props, Manning creates an evocative atmosphere that is by turns provocative and poignant, energetic, and elegiac, passionate and playful.
Ms. Manning has been teaching dance to people of all ages since 1988. She first taught, performed, and choreographed in Boston, where she was a member of Susan Rose and DanceWorks, serving on the faculties at Radcliffe, DanceWorks and the Boston Conservatory. Her award-winning choreography has been presented in Salt Lake City, Boston, Chicago, Alabama, and North Carolina.
