3 hour session dedicated to multiple poses by the model, starting with short (gesture) poses and moving onto longer (20 min.) poses.
Curious about going beyond the snap shot? Want to create images that are fun, whimsical and personal? This class teaches students the fundamentals of their camera phone settings, and how to use those settings to capture images that they didn't think were possible with a phone camera.
This class will focus on using improv tools to be fully engaged in the moment, create incredible teamwork, and enhance creative thinking -- all in the back-drop of fun, games and laughter.
In this class, students will work on an embroidery sampler together over 6 weeks. They will learn a variety of embroidery stitches by stitching together and following the pattern on a Dropcloth Sampler.
In this course we will focus on creating a set of functional pottery. Depending on your skill level, this may be a set of cups, bowls, mugs, or plates. Or maybe a pair of candlesticks? Your set(s) may include two or more matching pieces and you will get to establish your definition of “matching.” Beginners and/ or intermediate students are welcome.
In this beginner class, students will learn how to use watercolor materials, loosen up, and let the process flow. Areas of focus will include, composition, color, and painting in both the abstract and representational. No pre-requisites are required.
Short form improv is the art of listening, failing wonderfully, turning up the volume of your imagination while turning down the volume of your self critic, and transforming that into action on stage. We will learn group exercises to help develop these skills. We will then move on to short form improv scenes on stage, working together to build provocative narrative. This class is great for beginners as well as those with experience in improv.
