Project Description

Anne Willson started in the arts as a potter in the late 1980’s but shifted into arts administration in 1989 and worked in the nonprofit arts sector in North Carolina and Tennessee for twenty-seven years. During that time, though, Willson kept a “side” art practice and was introduced to sculptural weaving in 2009. In 2016, Willson shifted her work within the nonprofit sector, returned to North Carolina, and returned to the studio. Today, Willson works out of Litmus Gallery and Studios in downtown Raleigh. She exhibits her art and leads random weave workshops across the state. Website:
