Julia F. Green holds an M.F.A in fiction writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a B.A. in creative writing from Columbia University. Her work has appeared in Blue Ridge Outdoors, Lunch Ticket, The Laurel Review, and elsewhere.
Julia believes everyone has a unique voice that deserves to be heard and that writing can be a joyful, empowering process that enriches our humanity. She has taught writing to students of all ages, and her teaching philosophy centers on craft and community: by coming together, sharing our observations and experiences, and learning new techniques and how to apply them, we can make our stories soar and through them find connection with others as well as ourselves.
