COVID Announcement

Dear ArtsCenter Patrons,

Due to the increase of the Delta Variant and the danger it poses, we are writing to let you know that starting October 1st, 2021, proof of vaccination will be required for all attendees of in-person performances and ArtsCenter students 12+. As a community-based organization, we believe we have a responsibility to ensure the safety of the students, staff, instructors and to anyone who could come in close contact with any member of the ArtsCenter community.

This was a difficult decision to make, however given the risks that the new variant poses to the health of the community, we believe this organizational mandate is the most sensible measure for the safety of the community.

Connecting SEL with Literacy and the Arts: a Teacher Professional Development Webinar

The ArtsCenter in partnership with the A+ Schools of North Carolina invites you to discover next level learning for K-5 teachers with two online Social & Emotional Learning workshops. These workshops will address the interconnectivity of social emotional learning, literacy, and the arts with practical and interactive ideas for teachers to bring to their classrooms. These teacher workshops are offered in partnership with the Orange County Arts Commission  and will bring practical artistic strategies that teachers can use to strengthen their practice, engage student learning with and through the arts, and build community within their schools.  Please join us Saturday January 8th for K-2 educators, and January 15th for 3-5 educators. Workshops take place on zoom and are limited to only 25 educators per workshop day. Register today to ensure your spot in these enlightening workshops!
