A Suite Night with Lisa R & The Lucky Stars
Join Lisa R & The Lucky Stars (Lisa Rhodes, guitar and Elana Scheiner, cello) for a performance of selections from their four Suites of music.
“The Texas Suite: A Journey Home,” an autobiographical collection of songs about what it means to be from a place, seen through the lens of a Texan.
“Suite Memories: My Memories are Made of Songs,” songs loosely grouped around the themes of time passing, memory, mortality, aging and life’s journey.
“Suite Queer: A Celebration of Us,” a personal look into what it means to be Queer, with all its joys and sorrows, and a call to resistance and celebration.
“Suite Love: All of the Love Songs,” a deep dive into the many-faceted faces of love, good, bad, lost, waning, waxing, passionate and redemptive.
The ArtsCenter Theater shows are (almost always) seated. This is a seated show, though we’ll leave some room for those who may wish to get up a shake a leg. We have a nice bar with wine, beer, cider, soft drinks, snacks and always free water.
