What it is:
At The ArtsCenter, we believe *everywhere* is a space for making! When we refer specifically to The Makerspace, we’re talking about two dedicated, tool-rich studios that are open for you to explore, experiment, and bring your personal projects to life: the Digital Lab and the Fiber Arts Studio.

This space is designed to complement our robust schedule of art school classes. While our classes offer deep, structured learning, The Makerspace provides open studio access for self-guided creation. It’s a place to apply new skills, try a new tool for the first time, or complete a project on your own timeline, with our resources and knowledgeable staff as your support system.

Who is it for?
The Makerspace is open to creative makers ages 15 and up. Younger children (under 15) are welcome to explore and create alongside a parent or guardian. This space is perfect for artists, hobbyists, curious beginners, and seasoned makers looking for access to specialized equipment and a community-oriented studio. No matter what medium interests you, something in the makerspace can complement it!

Maker Services

Have an idea but short on time or skills? Send us your project details for a quote. We’ll handle the 3D printing,or laser cutting. Price is calculated by a small set-up fee + machine running time. Additional fees may apply for design work, or more complicated projects that require post-processing. Most projects can be completed for under $20. Fill out one of the forms below for a free quote:

Workshops and Events

Want to learn the tools yourself? Schedule a one-on-one or small-group training to learn our equipment and learn best practices. Training sessions can be focused around a specific project you have in mind, or more general. We’re happy to accommodate your learning style. Workshops are priced at $20/hr per person.

Purchase a Makerspace Pass

Once trained, check the calendar to find a time to use the space. Use the equipment you have been trained on to bring your personal projects to life at your own pace. A $10 pass can be purchased each visit, please check in at the desk! First-time use is free – just schedule a tour & orientation with our Makerspace Manager, Tyler Dennis

Accessing the Makerspace: After your orientation, you may use the Makerspace during staffed hours. Always check the calendar below before you visit, as the space closes for scheduled classes and workshops. Our default accessible hours are 9am-9pm, daily. Special Event: Join us for FREE every 2nd Friday for Make & Mingle! Bring your own project or try a pay-what-you-want maker kit. No registration required.
