  • Laser Cutter

    Fiber Arts Studio

    Bed: 18″x32″, with a maximum height of 8″.

    Various scrap materials are free to use with a makerspace pass, but most people bring their own laser cutting material.

    Rotary attachment accommodates cylindrical objects with a diameter up to 4″, most commonly used for glasses, bottles, tumblers, etc.

    Most designs are prepared using Adobe Illustrator, but any image can be used as a starting point.

  • Sewing Machines

    Fiber Arts Studio

    Mechanical sewing machines with 32 stitches, including button hole, with a maximum stitch width of 5mm.

    Fiber Arts Studio

    We offer access to a printing press for making ink-based prints. Users can experiment with ink, pressure, and paper to produce one-of-a-kind prints using a tactile, analog process.

     
  • 3-D Printer

    Digital Lab

    Build Volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm

    Our Bambu Carbon x-1 can handle a variety of materials including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PVA, PET Ideal for PA, PC, and Carbon/Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer. PLA filament is provided at the Makerspace in a variety of colors. If you wish to purchase specialty colors or materials for your prints, we can provide recommendations and assist with using it on our printers.

    Digital Lab

    Our Silhouette Cameo 4 Pro Cutter can cut over 100 materials, including paper, cardstock, vinyl, and fabric, up to 24 inches wide. We stock black, and a few other colors of vinyl.

    Includes software for photo, video, graphic design, and more. For a full list of apps available view the Adobe site.

  • Electronics Workbench

    Soldering Irons, Breadboards, wires, LEDs, and all the components you need to tinker and experiment with electric circuits!

  • Recording Studio

    Digital Lab

    A dedicated space for audio production! Use our microphones, midi keyboards, audio interfaces, and production software to make your podcast, song, or creative noise!

  • Photography

    Digital Lab

    Rebel Canon DSLR Camera, Tripods, lights, and green screen are available to practice photography, take your headshots, or photograph your art for a portfolio, or video a short film! We also have a Canon Pro-100 Photography printer (Additional fees apply for printing.)

  • Electric Hot Knife

    Digital Lab

    This variable-temperature electric hot knife is great for cutting XPS, EPS, low-density sponge, plastic extruded board, foam, pearl cotton, KT board, etc.

  • Hand Tools

    Digital Lab

    Basic woodworking hand tools for the aspiring carpenter! Saws, hammers, clamps, and all the basics you need for simple woodworking projects.

  • Drawing Tablets

    Digital Lab

    Pressure-sensitive drawing tablets are able to simulate the dynamic feel of a variety of art supplies. I recommend using them with Adobe Suite software, such as Animate, or open-source painting software like Krita.

  • Library

    Digital Lab

    We have a wide range of donated art books for you to peruse and get inspiration!
