Fire is productive and destructive, fascinating and frightening. Artists and scientists across the ages have been drawn to it as a symbol and a tool. In the third of our curated evenings on the elements, CPH and The ArtsCenter invite you to join us for an exploration of FIRE through scholarship, artmaking, and a tasting of desserts baked with fire. Our scholars will address British literature, Renaissance art, and drones as tools for wildfire prediction.

Featuring

Mary Pardo, Professor Emerita, Dept of Art and Art History

Jeanne Moskal, Professor, English & Comparative Literature

Andrew Zachman, Research Associate, Institute for the Environment’s Carolina Drone Lab
