Call for Entries to The ArtsCenter’s
22nd Annual Community Photo Contest
To those who love apertures, alternative angles, F-stops or just capturing those Kodak moments, The ArtsCenter announces a call for entries for its 22nd Annual Community Photography Contest.
- Entries will be accepted for the juried show from Monday, April 6 through Thursday, April 30 and the selected photos will be on exhibit in The ArtsCenter’s Nicholson Gallery during the month of May.
- 2 photographs may be submitted for each $25 Adult entry fee or $10 fee for Youth entries (ages 14 & under); or submit one photo for a $15 Adult entry fee.
- Prizes will be awarded at the start of the opening reception Friday, May 8 from 6-9 pm. Best in Show prizes will be awarded separately for Adult and Youth divisions in addition to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes in the Color and Black & White categories. Prizes for the contest, including gift certificates, are donated by local businesses.
All proceeds from the Community Photography Contest support ArtSchool scholarships, as well as scholarships for The ArtsCenter’s ArtsCamp for youth, giving individuals with financial need access to art education and enrichment. Last year’s contest drew in more than 168 submissions and raised more than $2,000 for scholarships.
