See the Original Stitched Artwork Solo Exhibition at The ArtsCenter from February 14th-April 7th. Opening Reception during 2nd Friday Artwalk, February 14th 6-8:30.

This unique collection of thirty-eight originally designed stitched fabric collage artworks follow history chronologically through the lives of women from different countries, cultures and religions around the world. The journey begins sometime before 4000 BCE, somewhere in Iraq, and ends sometime after 2040 CE, somewhere in Iraq. There is a multitude of history, mythology, symbolism and emotion in each 24″ x 24″ artwork.

Women have been revered in some cultures and repressed in others, and often must shout to be heard. The vivid colors and bold symbolic imagery in these works provoke those voices across time. Eve’s Journey was conceived to step on the snake and celebrate the true relevancy of all women throughout history.

Over the ages many women were used as vessels to produce children, many were raped and abused, many were repressed and enslaved, and many were bought and sold. But many were also queens and warriors, many lived quiet, happy lives with good men as their husbands, many were healers and mystics, many were merchants and artisans… and all were relevant.

Cotton Tote Bags, Small Zippered Pouches, Magnets, Stickers, and Cotton Back Packs with the Eve’s Journey Insignia are now for sale.
