About Individually Twisted
Based out of Durham, NC, this local family band adds their own flavor to many rock classics and likes to shake things up with several country and blues songs as well.
Alan and Kimmie Wilson have enjoyed performing together since the beginning of the 80’s. Several bands preceded Individually Twisted including Seph & the Sifters and Bobby Z & the Impalas. Son Jonathan Wilson is quite the gentle “Animal” on drums. Many know Jonathan from his past band, Untold. He currently plays with Persistent Itch, and formerly played with Urban Soil and City Dirt Trio; and has sat in with, to name a few, Rebecca Newton and Willie Painter at many of their shows. Daughter Jordan Garnett has been singing with the family band since she was old enough to hold a microphone. Keyboardist Kris Whitenack has been a Triangle keyboardist for several decades and plays with e’rebody! Finally, when he’s not teaching music or DJing on WHUP, Ben Palmer offers up his bass-playing pizzazz. Ben plays with so many acts, it’s nearly impossible to keep up with him! Ben played with Rebecca & The Hi-Tones for many years, along with Jonathan Wilson.
About The ArtsCenter Dance Parties
All TAC shows have seating available. The Dance Parties have both seating and the NEW Marley dance floor available. All you need are your dancin’ shoes and/or your body. We do the rest!
About The ArtsCenter
The (NEW) ArtsCenter is located at 400 Roberson St. Carrboro NC. ArtsCenter Dance Parties have seating and space for dancing. We have a bar with wine, beer, and snacks. We also have water stations where you can fill up your own water bottle or if you need an eco cup, just ask! We do not charge for water. The ArtsCenter is now working regularly with COMPOST NOW and recycling all beverage products.
The ArtsCenter’s Dance Parties are pure fun and great music as well as great communing. These events include a seating area, as well as a dance floor.
