In collaboration with the ArtsCenter and Click! Festival, PHOTO FARM presents Gabriel Moises Rivera, an analog photographer based in NYC and Italy. In his artist talk, Selector of time, subtraction as discipline and sculpting the necessary, Gabriel explains his practice
and philosophy: “To make a photo is to choose what moments are witnessed. Before technicality, there is intuition: the pull toward a moment worth holding even before it is fully realized. Alongside it, discipline that builds in process: subtraction, refinement, sculpting until only what’s necessary remains. Everything is photographable, yet not everything is photographed. What do the things we decided to make photos of say about us and the world at large?
