Spotlight on Silent Auction Artist Clay Carmichael

A smiling person with long, light hair and glasses rests their chin on their hand, holding a paintbrush. Art supplies and artwork are visible in the background.

Author-artist Clay Carmichael is the author-illustrator of three picture books, the middle-grade novel “Wild Things,” and the young adult novel “Brother, Brother.” She lives and works with her sculptor-husband Mike Roig in downtown Carrboro.

Clay has generously donated a giclee print of her original illustration “Moonbear” to The ArtsCenter’s Silent Auction, on display throughout the month of June in the Nicholson Gallery.  To place a bid for this artwork, visit our box office  or call us at (919) 929-2787.  Bids starting at $45 will be accepted until 5PM on June 28th.
