“I was born in North Wales and currently live in Carrboro. A large body of my work is about Polar Regions where I have worked (both the Arctic and Antarctic). Currently some of my Polar images are on tour to museums in North America in the exhibition “Vanishing Ice” which addresses the issue of climate change. I have shown locally, nationally and internationally and am currently a member artist at FRANK Gallery, Co-Chair of the Horace Williams House Art Committee and Chairperson of the Carrboro Branch Library Art Committee.
“I work on site in mixed media watercolor documenting the planet’s diverse landscapes–ancient forms, animals, Polar Regions, Welsh Mountains, Italian city-scapes, North Carolina, and the like.”
Nerys has generously donated an original work to The ArtsCenter’s Silent Auction, on display throughout the month of June in the Nicholson Gallery. To place a bid for this mixed media piece, visit our box office or call us at (919) 929-2787. Bids starting at $200 will be accepted until 5PM on June 28th.
