Tajrish Bazaar: Silk Road Goods & Social
Join us this Saturday, June 7th from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Sweet Bay Gallery,
ArtsCenter, for a reprise of Tajrish Bazaar. We once again invite you to come and
mingle while you browse through an eclectic selection of wares, and haggle at this
Middle Eastern market.
On offer will be Iranian handicrafts including colorful termeh tapestries, hand
carved wooden hookahs, ornate gulf burqas, a variety of jewelry, knitted wool
booties, and much more. Imported delicacies such as rare Persian blue salt,
premium saffron, and herbal teas will also be available for your consideration.
Our exhibiting artist Sia Yazdanfar will be on hand to answer any questions you
may have, regarding his work as well as these unique wares procured during
voyages to his motherland.
The Sweet Bay Gallery is currently hosting Of Quicksilver and Dust, archival prints
of images from deserts and desert settlements in the heart of Iran (April 30th
thru June 7th).
Traditional chai will be served throughout the afternoon.
